Title
PiTiVi and GES hackfest
Description
Pitivi is a GStreamer-based video editor written in Python. Although it uses GTK+ as a UI toolkit, it also aims to run fine on non-GNOME systems. GES (GStreamer Editing Services) is a new framework to make it incredibly easy to write your own GStreamer audio or video editor. This hackfest will focus on integrating GES into PiTiVi, hunting down bugs and reviewing this year's Summer of Code projects, among other things. Format
Hackfest
Expected number of participants
Between 5 and 10 people (maybe more if people from outside the project wish to join us). Since it is meant to be an open event, there is no limitation.
Expected duration
The hackfest is expected to last as long as possible during the summit's BoF days. That is, from 9h00 to 21h00 everyday from August 8th to 12.
Participants
We do not require pre-registration or that participants provide us with contact/background info, but those are always nice to know who we might encounter.
List of participants is available on https://live.gnome.org/Hackfests/PitiviGES2011
Additional requirements
No particular requirements, except that we have power outlets and network, hopefully tables and chairs.
