Workshops & BoFs/2011/OpenRaster workshop
This is a proposed workshop for the DesktopSummit 2011 See all proposed sessions, or the Workshops & BoFs webpage for more information. |
Title
OpenRaster, open raster graphics format
Description
OpenRaster is an open exchange format for raster based graphics. The format is inspired by OpenDocument, and aims to reuse as much as make sense of related open formats.
OpenRaster was initiated at Libre Graphics Meeting 2006 in Lyon, when some of the developers of the Gimp and of Krita (and with other potentially interested members of other graphics softwares) met for the first time.
Today OpenRaster is supported by several free and open source applications, libraries and tools.

With this workshop we hope to solve some specification and implementation issues, but we are also open to questions and discussion.
