Title

Desktop Disaster Recovery with Relax and Recover (ReaR)

Description

Relax and Recover (ReaR) is one of the leading Open Source projects for bare-metal disaster recovery, see the demo video for a short demonstration. Originally ReaR has been developed for servers and used mostly in enterprise data centers. With the recent additions of backup to local disks, smarter system migration and support for encrypted disks ReaR is now also usable for disaster recovering desktop systems.

This workshop hosted by one of the ReaR authors explores the requirements for an end-user compatible bare-metal disaster recovery solution that is sufficiently robust for desktop users. The workshop also shows how to use ReaR in a typical home user desktop environment.
