Title

Upstream-downstream: where to improve?

Description

We've seen several discussions in the past about how downstreams and upstreams don't necessarily work together, or do things in a different way. The goal of this BoF is to have an honest face-to-face discussion about the current situation, and to discuss concrete steps we can take to improve collaboration between upstream & downstream. Obviously, we can do more :-)

Hosts

  • Vincent Untz (vuntz@gnome.org)
  • Jos Poortvliet (jos@opensuse.org)

Format

BoF

Expected number of participants

How many people do you expect to join this session? 5? 10? 20? 50? 100? 20? Maybe more, maybe less, it's hard to know.

Participants

We'd especially like to see upstream and downstream "deciders" (leaders, maintainers, packagers, etc.) Everybody is welcome. Feel free to add your name to this list (no obligations, you just express your interest).

  • Matthias Klumpp <matthias [at] nlinux.org>
  • Philip Muskovac <yofel [at] gmx.net>
  • Richard Hughes <richard@hughsie.com>
  • Name of participant

Additional requirements

Vincent is leaving on Thursday afternoon, and might be in a meeting for the whole Wednesday.
